Introduction. Teenage pregnancy is considered a high risk pregnancy because of the high incidence of complications. Objective: The purpose of this study was to determine the trend of increas frequency (5,9%) of teenage pregnancy in the Republic of Moldova during 2005-2012. Materials and methods: selective retrospective study included analysis of 798 (2,9±0,1%) of teenagers deliverises who were gaven birth in our clinic Institute of Mother and Child Care in the same time period. Lot of research was divided into three subgroups according to age: 13-15 years old (n = 56), 16 years old (n = 110) and 17-18 years old (n = 632). Rezults: we found that adolescents are at high risk of associated obstetrical complications: anemia 617 (77,3±1,48%) cases, mostly aged 13-15 yars old, HTAS 40 (5,01±0,77%) cases, preeclampsia in 49 (6,1±0,85%) cases in the group at the age of 17-18 years old. High risk of preterm birth was at the age of 17-18 years old (16,2 ± 1,3%). However,teenagers (adolescents) were more predisposed to have traditional vaginal birth 82.8% without any serious complications. Conclusions, over the past few years, it has been found the increasing trend of pregnancy among teenagers at the age of 13-15 years old. At the earlier age, complications in pregnancy and childbirth have a seldom effect due to increased attention from medical institutions. Most pregnant teenagers and those who are giving birth are socially vulnerable, from low income families, in most cases solitary and psychological unstable |
