The present article reflects the manner in which the term of „curriculum” is understood by Piaget as new approach to school curricula, in which brand new concepts emerge, such as: education, educational system, contents of education, method of education, role of the teacher. From the social point of view, Piaget analyzes the connection between social life and education and defines education as „necessary factor for progress”, where the purposes unite in order to shape and to develop the personality of the educated depending on the resources possessed. The education system is perceived by Piaget as phaseformation of knowledge. Piaget’s intellectual education contents are emphasized by the phases of intelligence which objectively evolve from sensory-dynamic to abstract operations. According to Piaget’s theory, the role of the instructor is to ensure proper environment for the students’ exploratory activity. The student will understand the learning process as individual intercession. |
