Part of our cultural heritage from abroad are the numerous old Romanian printings, deposited for centuries at Holy Mount Athos in Greece, access to which is still difficult or restricted. For many years (2001-2010) the author of this study had the amassing opportunity to research and to organize the first library of Romanian books in the monastery at Holy Mount Athos. The St. Paul Monastery was the first that took the initiative of organizing such a library, publishing beforehand, in 2012, in Athens, a Catalogue of the books with a list of the marginal signs and seals. Together with the Greek historian Florin Marinescu, the author started to catalogue Romanian books from the monastery Pantocrator at Holy Mount Athos. Circulation of Romanian printings at Holy Mount Athos demonstrates the ecumenisation of Orthodoxy and the long-time friendship between Greeks and Romanians.
