The paper presents the results of studies proving the fact that the problem of competitive meat production is determined by the efficient use of the new parental genotypic combinations depending on the genetic and productive potential of animal breeds. Research results have shown that the hybrids obtained from the combination of Landrace x Hampshire x Pietrain and Large White x Landrace x Pietrain breeds have produced carcasses where the fat layer was by 3.9 and 8.6 mm thinner, the length of hams was by 5,13 and 4,10 cm longer, and the weight of the longissimus dorsi muscle was by 0,94 and 0,76 kg heavier, compared with the Large White purebreds. The performed investigations contribute to the development of the specificity of hybridization and to the increase of the quality meat production with a direct impact on the health and welfare of consumers. |

În urma cercetărilor efectuate s-a constatat, că hibrizii obţinuţi din combinarea raselor Landrace x Hampshire x Pietrain şi Marele Alb x Landrace x Pietrain au produs carcase cu stratul de slănină mai subţire cu 3,9 şi 8,6 mm, lungimea jamboanelor mai mare cu 5,13 şi 4,10 cm, iar greutatea muşchiului lungul dorsal mai mare cu 0,94 şi 0,76 kg, comparativ cu produşii de rasă pură Marele Alb.
