Rezumat

The author of the paper analyses Timotei Cipariu’s original contribution in enriching the Romanian Transylvanian humanities, philosophy and culture, supplemented by the activity of able activist and patriot at political, social and cultural plan. The pillar of the scientific work and of the political-democratic activism is Cipariu’s intimate soul adhesion to the European values, accompanied by the faith in achieving the national and social justice generated by the establishment in the society of that order which guarantees the unconditional respect for human’s and people’s rights. Inspired by the realities and the traditions of the Transylvanian culture, from the top culture of the Europe, the work of the Transylvanian scholar fit into the international circuit of the values, keeping its actuality and raising the interest of some professionals until our days, when there 130 years since his passing.
