An investigation has been made of permanent effects of γ- radiation on additive – free and doped with Cu2O and ВаО high-density polyethylene (HDPE) using thermally stimulated current (TSC) techniques over the temperature range 293-413K. TSC spectra for corona – and radioelectret samples show a negative peak, centering around 378K is associated with the melting point of the material. The peak in the TSC spectrum in the low temperature region around 338K for samples dosed to 5⋅104Gy and then corona poled is assigned to the release of homo-charge injected from the electrodes during polarization. |
