Rezumat

Children’s literature should be matched with the child's perception, it has to be alive, figurative, exciting, colorful, emotional, simple and clear. In translating children’s literature the translator’s purpose is to feel the peculiarities of the SL and TL and to cope with the lexical difficulties that can appear in the process of translation. The structure of texts is of great importance for a child who is still in the process of uncovering the secrets and depths of the foreign language in comparison with his native language. The translation of children’s literature is a complex task, involving a great deal of skills, preparation, theoretical knowledge and intuitive feeling.
