Landscape reserve Căbăeşti-Pîrjolteni area has 1197,9 hectares and includes brush beech and oak secular. Evaluation of the spring-summer of 2008 revealed the presence of natural forests on an area of 862,7 hectares (72%) and degraded – 334,9 hectares (28%).The diversity of plants is over 250 species of vascular plants, including trees - 38, shrubs - 20, semi-shrubs - 1, liana - 1 and herbs 191 species. Among them are 23 species of rare plants taken under protection, of which 6 species included
in the Red Book of the Republic of Moldova (Dentaria glandulosa Waldst. et Kit., Galanthus nivalis L., Nectaroscordum bulgaricum Janka, Orchis purpurea Huds., Cephalanthera longifolia (L.) Rich.). Managing these forests in compliance with the provisions of laws would promote recovery dynamic equilibrium of the components of the forest ecosystem.
