The clinical aspects, frequency and risk criteria of the central nervous system (CNS) involvement have been studied in 130 children aged between 2 and 18 years with non-Hodgkin’s lymphomas (NHL). It has been established that NHL most frequently developed in children between 2 and 5 years of age (53.8%). The primary tumor focus was predominantly situated in the abdominal cavity (the ileocecal region of the intestine and the abdominal lymph nodes). No matter where the NHL primary focus, the process of generalization was frequently accompanied with metastases development in the CNS (45.3%). Disclosure in the CNS was most frequent in the patients with NHL onset in the mediastinum (62.5%), abdominal lymph nodes (52.6%), Waldeyer’s lymphoid ring (46.1%) and in children aged 2-5 years (65.5%).
