In this article are considered theoretical and practical aspects of current political transitions and transformations. The author will analyze the similarities and differences between the transitions to democracy in various regions of the world, such as Central and Eastern Europe, Southern Europe, Latin America, some Asian regions. In the article, it pays great attention to the systemic features of post-communist transition and transformation. Thus, the common features are generalized and systemic distinct democratization in central and eastern European area, but also in the former Soviet area. A special place belongs practices accumulated in Moldova.
