Beside the conceptions of philosophers, psychology of cognition has an important contribution in the research on the concept of image. Its merits consist in an analysis of concepts as image, imagination, and imaginary. Despite this, certain views on these topics are partial. Accordingly, we offer in the present article a summary description of certain views of psychologists on image and imagination, as well as a minimal critique of their shortcomings. |
