The article is devoted to the definition of the most basic European Values and their significance for the modern society. The European Union is premised on the respect for human dignity, freedom, democracy, equality, the rule of law, and human rights. How can these values be assimilated into process of Republic of Moldova adherence to European Union it is a current problem for the Moldovan society. The paper focuses on highlighting the functionality of the european values for the Moldova, shows how important is the valorisation of Euro-pean values, prouves the importance of the concept of Europeanization for understanding the content of the European policy, also reveals the existent ambiguous interpretation of european values. The analysis is carried out in the con-text of Europeanization and European integration concepts social perceptions.
