Rezumat

In this period of occupation we lost the most faithful people, the confessors who were the soul of our oppressed church. They were the memory keepers and represented the historical consciousness of the whole nation. Thus the generations born during the soviet government were deprived of the historical truth, the process of spiritual maturity and the religious values of our nation. As a result the “new culture” was built in darkness on a foreign and weak base. That is why it didn’t penetrate in the nation’s life, bringing poor contribute to its spiritual integration. The era of the communist regime split the church not only off the state but as well off the nation, directed the young generation toward the new pagan and antinational life conditions, making the life experience of our parents and ancestries uninteresting and irrelevant. Thus, the history of the church and monastic life, the “painful lesson” of our past may serve for modern people living in the XXI century not only as an information generator, but as an unflagging spiritual source, because in the last decade of the XX century after the communism fall, the Orthodoxy gained freedom, benefic for successful development of an authentic Christian life. The relationship between the Church and State were featured in a range of legal acts, as well as within the schools, hospitals and army via the church representatives. It is worth mentioning that the Church and monasticism restart their activity of guiding and example for Christians in order to gain Christlike.
