In the present article are considered the issues related to the analysis of the existing international rankings of higher education establishments. Were identified the main approaches and criteria for their compiling, the number of evaluated subjects. It was defined the ranking of leaders among higher educational institutions which is dominated by those of the USA. At the same time was examined the position of Ukrainian universities in the international rankings and possibilities for improving their posotion.

În prezentul articol sunt luate în considerare problemele legate de analiza clasamentelor internaţionale existente ale instituţiilor de învăţământ superior. Au fost identificate principalele abordări şi criteriile pentru compilarea lor, numărul de subiecţi evaluaţi. A fost definit clasamentul liderilor în rândul instituţiilor de învăţământ superior, care este dominat de cele ale SUA. În acelaşi timp, a fost examinată situaţia din universităţile din Ucraina în clasamentele internaţionale şi posibilităţi de îmbunătăţire a poziţiei lor.
