Rezumat

The aim of this work is to determine/ to see the relation between the contrastive linguistics, the translation and the methodology of foreign languages. Taking into consideration the fact that things are perceived better in the process of comparison, it is not difficult to determine the affinities between the contrastive analysis and methodology/ didactics. Knowing that translation offers factual material for contrastive linguistics, it can be easily deduced that there is a strong connection between these two. Thus, it can be concluded that translation influences glotodidactics as well but in an indirect way. As a final conclusion it should be pointed out that the contrastive analysis and translation cannot be considered universal remedies in glotodidactics, but they cannot be ignored in the teaching-learning-evaluation process of foreign languages either.
