О северной границе распространения так называемых «кинжалов с вырезами» В статье собраны сведения о находках так называемых «кинжалов с вырезами» в Пoдесенье, Пoсеймье, на Верхнем Дону. Основной ареал распространения таких клинков связан с Кавказом и Крымом. Самые ранние находки могут быть датированы серединой —второй половиной III в. В IV в. подобные клинки появляются на памятниках черняховской культуры в Поднепровье и Поднестровье, а в конце IV — начале V в. — в Карпатской котловине. Появление их на границе лесной и лесостепной зон, вероятно, связано с участием алан в событиях финала IV в. Возможно, что находки «кинжалов с вырезами» за пределами аланского расселения связаны с воинскими ритуалами.

Despre limita nordică de răspândire a așa-numitelor „pumnale cu șliţuri” În prezentul articol este realizată o trecere în revistă a așa-numitelor „pumnale cu șliţuri” din regiunile Desna, Seim și Donul Superior. Arealul de bază al răspândirii acestor arme este legat de Caucaz și Crimeea. Cele mai timpurii descoperiri pot fi datate la jumătatea — sfârșitul sec. III d. Hr. În sec. IV, piese similare apar în siturile culturii Cerneahov de pe Nipru și Nistru, iar la sf. sec. IV — înc. sec. V ele pătrund și în bazinul Carpatic. Apariţia acestor arme la hotarul dintre zonele de pădure și silvostepă, este probabil legată de participarea alanilor la evenimentele de la fi nalul sec. IV. Este posibil ca descoperirile de „pumnale cu șliţuri” din afara regiunii populate de alani să fi e puse în legătură cu unele ritualuri militare.

On the Northern Extremity of So-Called Daggers with Cutouts The author presents fi nds of the so-called “daggers with cutouts” found along Desna, Sejm and Upper Don Rivers. The main area of distribution of such blades is bound to the Caucasus and the Crimea. The earliest fi nds can be dated by the middle — second half of 3rd c. In 4th c. similar blades appear on Chernyakhov sites in the basins of the Dnieper and the Dniester, while in late 4th — early 5th c. they spread in the Carpathian depression. Their appearance on the border between the forest and forest-steppe zones may be explained by participation of the Alans in the events of the late 4th c. Seemingly, the fi nds of the daggers with cutouts outside the Alan area are connected with warriors' rituals.
