We do not believe that during the military battles (regional or local) Geto-Thracians had a warfare doctrine with tactics and strategies, things considered to be at an embryonic stage for classical antiquity. However, carrying out several wars of antiquity, Geto-Thracians and especially their leaders demonstrated advanced skills in warfare, remaining in the military history of that period as skilful commanders of armies. For Geto-Thracians, sedentary people concerned mainly about agriculture, became a must defending their territories form enemies, usually outsiders - Scythians, Celts, etc. Carrying out defensive wars, our forefathers built fortresses and in military operations used to combine the defensive tactics with elements of harassment the enemy - indirect actions.
