The current paper discusses the results of the investigations of the quantitative distribution of main physiological groups of microorganisms in the Prut river. The research demonstrated that the quantitative distribution of the physiological groups of microorganisms vary in accordance to the nutritive substrata of the autochthonous and alochthonous origins.The highest abundance was found in amonificator and amilolitic groups, followed by the denitrificator group. The inferior sector of the Prut river has a higher level of microbiological pollution than the middle sector. |
