Rezumat

On the base of legislative documents analysis and provisions of phanariotes lords from Principality of Moldova, is analyzed their commercial and customs policy. In this policy promoting process they took account of two main factors: on the one hand – the necessity to fulfill payment obligations of the tribute and providing privileges to Ottoman traders; on the other hand – the alignment to the world European economy requirements, which had been intensified, following the signing of some commercial treaties between the Ottoman Empire, Russia and Austria. Through various legislative acts lords had promoted a customs-trade policy, which tended toward the independence from the Ottoman Empire one. Under the influence of the European modernity they had been used gained revenues from the customs system not only for traditional payments (tribute to Ottomans, civil servants salaries, donations to monasteries etc.), but to support, as well certain modernization activities in the field of culture and in the planning of cities.
