Rezumat

The article deals with the “information behaviour ” of Sumy mass media in the course of so called hybrid warfare. It was found out that there was not definite information model in the regional mass media at the beginning of the anti-terrorist operation. The content of the editions is different. Some mass media almost do not reflect the above mentioned event. This fact signals about conscious concealing of the information and Russia-oriented position. Local mass media mostly try to follow democratic methods of covering events. They concentrate their attention on propaganda of creation, heroism and firmness. Sumy mass media do not resort to such methods of propaganda, which are used by the Russian “colleages” against Ukraine and the region. At the same time they do not response to information and provocative attacks from the part of Russian mass media and authority. Unfortunately, regional mass media did not refuse from the custom of politically ordered materials in the course of military confrontation. Private mass media speak frankly about the problems of the region and the territory of the anti-terrorist operation. The communal editions treat the actions of the president, government and local officials as the only correct. Sumy mass media turned out to be not prepared for the information confrontation, but they are studying gradually to act under such complex conditions.
