As a social phenomenon, the law represents the subject of sociological, politological and economic knowledge but, nevertheless, it is directly referred to as the subject of specialized legal knowledge, which is complementary associated to the synthetic knowledge of the General Theory of Law and the philosophical one. A component of the latter, however, is the legal ontology, which is also linked to the General Theory, providing an angle of approach that emphasizes the condition of the law in the social life and that of the legal imperative supported within the constituent social values.
