The GUAM association considered once a symbol of the struggle for a new establishment in the post-Soviet order, has created an important prerequisites for its member states – Georgia, Ukraine, Azerbaijan and Moldova - to democ-ratization and Western-orientation. Current geopolitical situation and events that have characterized that geopolitical space highlights the opportunity and importance of such regional organizations, assuring the cooperation, especial-ly, in the provision of security and in regard to the democratic transformation of the member states. Moldova is a partner state in this regional project and may be characteri-zed by an irregular and fluctuation dynamics of its participation in GUAM. In this context, this paper will tackle to understanding the Moldova position as a member GUAM, to underlying the interests and goals of involving in that part-nership; to explaining and evaluating Moldova’s reasons and advantages.
