The paper studies the problem of the exit area of Eastern Roman population of Southern Bessarabia, based on the principle, that every ritual has its regional markers on the example of the tradition of the Christmas ritual masking (rite ≪Capra≫). he results showed that the Eastern Roman population of Budjak represents the ritual ≪Capra ≫ according to the tradition of historical-ethnographic region of Moldova in its local variants, which suggests to deine this region as en exit area for Eastern Roman population from Southern Bessarabia. |
