The translators role is to create, to remodel the message that they transfer from one language into another, doing it, within the limits of possibilities, not to the disadvantage of the original literary works from and content. In the lines below there was enterprised an attempt to appreciate to the due value the role of translators regarding the survival, propagation of literary works, to demonstrate the fact that it is due to the produced translations the today and tomorrow’s reader finds out much truth from other corners of the globe. Studying the petrimony of the realized translations in our country, we can conclude that, in general, there have been translated literary writings of famous anthors. There have been produced transferences from the world lyric, prose, drama. Among the most hardworking artists of the word are the names: A. Cosmascu, A. Cupcea-Josu, I.Creţu, V. Beşleagă etc. At the present stage there is the necessity to appreciate the hard efforts of the translators with the due value and to provide them necessary conditions for their creative activity.
