The paper presents results on the quality parameters of running from Nistru river basin. Extern radiological fund level in the investigated territory varies within the range from 11,2 to 20,1
μR/h. The maximum concentration of radionuclide 137Cs was detected in the 0-5 cm soil layer (natural ecosystem) and 0-30 cm (agroecocenoze). Self-purification capacity of the running waters in the area studied has average values of 0,30-0,35. Self-purification capacity of the water of the Răut river (upstream of the Orhei city) is 0,25, downstream its content is 0,16, which confirms the massive impact of wastewater discharged into the river. Investigated waters in function of the concentration of organic substances (CCO-Cr and CBO5) are classified as Class I (very good) - III (moderately polluted) quality. Water of the Rãut river is classified as
Class II (good) - IV (polluted). Water by Fe and Zn content is classified: (Class I (very good)/II (good) of quality). Content of Cu, Cd and Pb in water ranks Class II (good)/III (moderately polluted) of quality, except water of the Rãut river were their content classified water as Class II (good)>V of quality (very polluted/degraded). Content of Heavy metals in underwater sediments are in admissible limits. Only the content of Pb in sediments of the
Rãut river both upstream and downstream of the Orhei city exceeds 2 times its limit in sediment. |
