In this article will be made the attempt to summarize and systematize the basic
definitions of the concept of Europeanization and identify its theoretical framework,
in the context of the analysis of Western and Russian scientific sources.
In the article is underlined that the process of Europeanization is not studied in
all its manifestations. The analysis revealed the competition among many approaches
to the definition of Europeanization. It should be noted that the concept of
Europeanization sets a certain angle on the European Union, and focuses on its
unique system characteristics, such as supranational. The process of scientific understanding
of the concept of Europeanization in Western studies began in the 90s
of XX century, and finally took shape in the period of 2004-2007. It was called to
identify the impact of the integration process on the institutional transformation
of national states. |
