The article highlights conceptual theoretical basis of qualified teacher training in the terms of innovative environment. The main reasons and arguments that cause the seach of new ways of teacher training, especially a teacher of Biology, are described. Native and foreign teaching experience of improving the system of qualified teacher training is analysed. Concepts of innovative teacher training are given in the article. The importance of innovative teachers thinking in the structure of future Biology teacher competence is substantiated. The main emphasis is placed on the approaches and principles of professional competence of Biology teacher.
