Rezumat

After the WWII, in the case of the Moldavian Soviet Socialist Republic, the People’s Commissariat for Education played and important role in the establishing the new system of values through the schools and the political education through the houses of culture. In general the objectives of this Commissariat were established by the Communist (Bolshevik) party from Moldova. One of the objectives was the formation, in long perspective, of a new man. The documents show that in the institutions of the high education, the majoritarian ethnos of the republic was not represented proportionally. This is also shown by one of the reports made by Bobrov, Hvalov and Romenski in December 1944-January 1945. From the other point of view, the Commisariat had many difficulties in its activity, which were sometimes of external origine or simply of internal (the lack of discipline). Some of the functionaries were accused for their Romanian past (activity in Romanian institutions or sympathy for the precedent period). In our next studies we will try to pay attention to the activity of this Commisariat through a longer period, of 4-5 years and to integrate this to the general context of the cultural life from republic in the post-war years.
