On May 23, 1931 the Communal Council of Bender town was dissolved. In place of the Communal Council was appointed an interim committee, which administered the city until a new local council was elected. On July 12, 1932, as chairman of the interim committee was appointed Sergiu Cernăuţeanu, which in December 1932 was elected mayor of Bender. On October 15, 1933 were held partial elections for local
councilors, the city of Bender being divided into three precincts. After the termination of Sergiu Cernăuţeanu’s term of the office, Valentin Kletchin became mayor of Bender (1934-1938). |
