Rezumat | ||||||
As a resut of a attentive examination of the Notationes Cotidianae (1721-1730) by Ivan Ilinskii, Cantemir’s personal secretary, kept in an archive in Moscow, it was found out that Russian and Romanian editions of this document contains numerous clippings and inaccuracies. Omissions are mainly from Persian campaign period
(1722-1723) of Peter the Great that contain unknown information concerning the activity of prince Dimitrie Cantemir, his family, his entourage, consisting largely of ministers that joined him to Russia in 1711, and his links with senior officials from Russian imperial palace. Full knowledge of this valuable document opens new horizons
related to life and work of Dimitrie Cantemir in later years and his followers in Russia. |
