In this paper the author examines some of the materials of the meetings of the Presidium of the CPSU Central Committee reflecting the development of the Soviet-Romanian relations in the context of foreign policy of the Soviet Union. The author draws attention to the way was taken the decision to withdraw Soviet troops from Romania in June-July 1958. The author also analyzes the conception
of N. Khrushchev on resolving territorial issues between the socialist countries on the basis of referendums or with the participation of third parties. |
