The study about the book in the life of senior officials from Stephen the Great period shows that in this epoch several persons got into the highest state structures due to their literacy and culture. Most dignitaries close the entourage of the Lord,
imitating Stephen the Great, procure for himself, order and give as gift richly decorated books to monasteries and churches, built churches and endow them with everything necessary for officiation of divine service, thereby contributing the formation of a
elevated cultural and spiritual enviroment. |
