Rezumat

In this article Constantin Steres’ concept of human rights and liberties is examined, which is expressed in the four of his works with judicial character. The opinions of the eminent jurist about the constitutional state, democratic state and state of law are communicated. The defi nition of the human rights given by Constantin Stere is analyzed. The opinions of the savant about the principle of respect for human honor and the principle of equality in front of law are brought up. Multiple examples concerning the proposals of Constantin Stere to stipulate in the constitution certain rights and liberties are brought up. The conclusion is made about the fact that Constain Stere was an eminent theoretician of human rights and his concept about the human rights and liberties is still modern and important nowadays for the process of edifi cation of the state of law.
