The stomach cancer morbidity gradual decreasing from 17,8% to 10,4% per100000 habitants had been registered from 1980 to 2004. In the North regions of the Republic the morbidity level is higher than in the South regions, for example, the morbidity level: in Soroca is 21,4% and 6,7% -in Basarabeasca. At the same time, the early diagnosis level has been decreased from 17,6% in 1980 to 8,1% in 2004. The late diagnosis level has been raised in this period from 39,0% to 53,2%. The morbidity in the first year is maintained at a high level and oscillates from 50,3 to 53,4%.The radical surgical treatment has been fulfilled in the Oncological Institute (61,6% of the operated patients) and in other medical institutions (36,3% of the operated patients).
