Rezumat

În articol sunt analizate seturile de centură din sec. XIII-XVI, executate în tradiţia artei gotice europene, descoperite în spaţiul carpato-balcanic. Pe teritoriul Republicii Moldova a fost găsită o piesă unicat, pe a cărei cataramă este redată imaginea lui Sf. Gheorghe. În tezaurule din România, mai frecvent, sunt descoperite centuri, decorate cu motive geometrico-vegetale, mai rar fiind întâlnite cele zoomorfe. Pentru descoperirile din Bulgaria sunt caracteristice centurile cu imagini de animale (şopârle, dragoni, lei), mai fiind cunoscute cele cu ornament vegetal sau cu imagini antropomorfe. Dacă în Europa de Vest centurile de factură gotică au fost accesorii nu numai ale costumului bărbătesc dar şi ale celui feminin, apoi în spaţiul carpato-dunărean ele au fost caracteristice, în special, pentru bărbaţi.

The article considers the findings of belts made in the traditions of European Gothic art in the complexes of XIIIXVI centuries in the Carpathian-Balkan region. The unique belt decorated with the image of St. George was found in the Republic of Moldova. The belts ornamented with vegetable and geometrical patterns dominate in the Romanian hoards. A few number of belts decorated with zoomorphic patterns were found in the Romanian treasures as well. The belts with images of animals (lizards, dragons, lions) were typical for the territory of Bulgaria. The examples with engraved vegetable ornament or anthropomorphic images were known also. In the Carpathian-Danube region the “Gothic belts” were the accessories of male dress mainly, in spite of Western Europe where these belts were typical both male and female
