În articol sunt analizate urbanonimele oraşelor din sudul Basarabiei. Sunt elucidate tendinţele generale în utilizarea odonimelor, agoronimelor, horonimelor în oraşele Akkerman, Ismail şi Chilia. Au fost identifi cate particularităţile constituirii centrelor acestor oraşe, precum şi ale funcţionării urbanonimelor.

This article considers urbanonyms of Southern Bessarabia. There are shown general trends in the use of odonyms, agoronyms, and horonyms at Akkerman, Izmail (Tuchkov), and Kiliya. The paper discusses the features of development of the downtown areas and the functioning of urbanonyms in the first half of the 19th century.
