Diaspora entrepreneurs are uniquely positioned to recognize opportunities in their countries of origin, to exploit such opportunities as “first movers,” and to contribute to job creation and economic growth. It discusses the nature of diaspora entrepreneurship, the conditions that best create opportunities for diaspora direct investment in countries of
origin, and various strategies employed by some organizations to support diaspora entrepreneurs and their ventures. |
