Rezumat

One of the most important components of an efficient stores activity is the organization of merchandising process. The actuality of the theme of present study is dictated by the necessity of the theoretical analysis and practical use of merchandising for retailing and also studying of its principal mechanisms contributing to the increase of the competitiveness of goods and services. The analysis was made on the basis of store 5 of Green Hills Market chain. This analysis revealed advantages and also some disadvantages of this system. In conclusion we mention some recommendations and methods in order to improve the chain’s stores merchandising. Their practical use will encourage the increase in selling and competitiveness. Scientific results, received during this research can be used both for the development of Green Hills Market chain and other supermarkets of Chisinau.
