The paper presents the study results on the medicinal species Leonotis nepetifolia (L.) R. Br. with a great importance from the economic and medicinal viewpoints. An ample bibliographic review regarding therapeutic significance of this species was done. The seed germination in laboratory conditions, in special substrate, and in open area was tested. The optimal sowing period and the plant nutrition space were determined. The phenological phases of the plants in conditions of Republic of Moldova were evaluated. The main morphometric parameters and the growing rhythm of the plants have been registered.
