Rezumat

There is a great need for research on the introduction of e-services in public administration. The concept of e-service (short for electronic service), represents one prominent application of utilizing the use of Information and communication technologies (ICTs) in different areas. Our article is about implementation of public e-services. In principle, almost any (but not all) public service could be provided, in whole or in part, in electronic form. The interest for public e-services is rapidly growing. These experiences are widespread at present in most democracies. In the Republic of Moldova the practice of public electronic services is in its infancy, but it is necessary to emphasize that the speed of implementation and diffusion is sufficiently fast to be observed first successes. Public services provided by information technology are not a panacea, however, international experience and practices in Moldova shows that this method should be further exploited.
