Cases of Dermatomycosis are recorded in the course of the whole year, the highest indicators being recorded, as a rule, in the months of September, October and November (during the
creation of groups). Among the affected persons children aged 1 – 17 years make up 80% of the total. During this period the incidence through mycosis amounted 46,9%. The epidemiological
surveillance of groups serves as an approach to avoid the occurrence of large outbreaks. The treatment and prophylactic measures are carried out based on traditional remedies. Cases of Pediculosis are also recorded in the course of the whole year, the highest indicators being recorded in September, October and November as well. The most frequently affected
persons are those from socially-vulnerable categories and aged people (about 75 % of the total). In order to carry out antiepidemic measures in pestholes and groups of people a Sanitary Filter has been established in Chisinau Municipality
that processes bedding cloths and underwear of over 2000 persons. The epidemiological surveillance of Pediculosis is an approach aimed at avoiding the spread of typhus and recurrent
fever; therefore no such cases have been recorded lately. |
