The originality of historical and cultural development of any nation is most vividly expressed in poetry. To translate the poetry of other peoples is to understand the national character and the emotional world of other cultures as well as to find in the translated language the adequate means for the expression of these features. The translator of poetry has to be a poet himself as his task is to render the poem in such a way that it should have a beautiful euphony in the target language.
