Rezumat

The present article deals with applied linguistics, especially, with learning and teaching French as a foreign language (FFL) in secondary schools. It analyses the current situation of teaching and the process of learning FFL in secondary schools in Moldova and it focuses, in particular, on the appearance of the theater workshop using some communicative methods such as the drama/ theater approaches. A general hypothesis is examined in this article: staging develops and promotes the learners' improvisation and spontaneous speech. It is also an ideal vehicle for transmitting the socio-cultural elements of a language.
