The material described in the article represents a day’s planning. It is the mirror of an everyday English class that provides the necessary information for the development of a lesson in the 12th form. It presents the stages of the lesson, the subcompetences, the methods and the explanation of the whole activity. The relations between the teacher and the class are close and students are free to express their ideas not feeling frustrated. They try to use the already developed skills in fluent English and find the answers to all the teacher’s questions. The methods used are: brainstorming, grammar, translation, silent way, group work, etc. They allow the students to have an adequate behaviour and be very active during the lesson. The poem really gives the possibility to use role play and teach acting.
