The volume The Ascension in Descension of the Romanian Language in
Bessarabia written by the Bessarabian linguist Vasile Bahnaru is a collection of articles and studies developed throughout the author’s scientific activity. Both the title of this book (with a special stylistic marking), and the diverse themes discussed therein are a call to read it. The volume is structured in four chapters, their themes showing the author’s concerns in his linguistic career: I. Linguistic issues; II. Etymological notes; III. From the history
