Application of methods based on interlingual correlations and implementation of multilingualism in education implies creation of multilingual methodical developments. For foreign language courses for special and academic purposes, it is multilingual glossaries of special terms that make it possible to reveal interdisciplinary links both between linguistic and non-linguistic subjects taught at the university. Multilingual glossaries equipped with terminological definitions are necessary for formation of interdisciplinary professional competences among students of nonlinguistic specialties, which enable them to perceive intercultural specificity of presentation of special concepts.
Creation of mixed working groups involving teachers of languages and nonlinguistics disciplines for purposes of compiling multilingual glossaries is to become a basis for real university multilingualism, which should involve both students and teachers regardless of their specialty.
The role of such lexicographic products becomes especially important within the framework of multilateral international projects, even if their basic working language is English, since only analysis of authentic terminological definitions in the sourse language makes specifics of reality articulation at the conceptual level evident. |
