The evaluation of intercultural dimension is one of the most important goals of
teaching / learning a foreign language. The use of figurative sense in the production / reception of texts is not only an ornament of language, but also a means of daily communication. Identifying and understanding the figurative sense of a sentence involve, in addition to language skills, discursive, textual, sociocultural competencies.
The aim of our research is to analyze the importance of comprehension and
didactic exploitation of the figurative meaning in the texts studied in the FLE classes and the role of the teacher in his capacity of cultural mediator enabling the learner to acquire the skill of adequate behavior in a situation of intercultural communication. |
