In the paper the results of investigations concerning the density and also the period of exploitation the plantations of Perennial Savory was presented. It was established that Perennial Savory entered in the fruit growing in the second year. Optimal density of Perennial Savory industrial plantation is 15-20 thousand plants/ha. Such density ensured during the vegetation over eight years (seven years on the fruit) the production of raw material from 7,2 to 8,1 t/ha
and volatile oil 45-49 kg/ha. Eight years later the productivity of the plantations reduces sharply till 2,5
t/ha of raw material and 11 kg/ha of essential oil. Rejuvenation of the plantations of 9-10 years permits
obtaining the production of raw material with 24-25% higher than the control the witness cutting. Longevity of Perennial Savory plantations at optimal density (1,5 to 2,0 bushes/m2) is over 11-12 years, if after 7-8 crops they are under the rejuvenation. |
