<description xml:lang='en' descriptionType='Abstract'>In the article some porblems in the field of ukrainian fish industry are being examined and the analysis of the list of factors that have negative influence on it is being carried out. Among such problems the following could be named: imperfection of legislation in branch, being studied, underfunding of scientific institutions, that results in lagging of fundamental and applied researches from contemporary world level, predetermines low level of technological and technical basis of production, lowering of its volumes, noncompetitiveness of output. The measures of improvement of ukrainian commercial fishing industry condition by legislative and regulatory development and by determination of state policy strategic directions are proposed.</description>
<description xml:lang='ru' descriptionType='Abstract'>В статье рассматриваются некоторые проблемы в отрасли рыбного хозяйства Украины, а также осуществляется анализ перечня факторов, которые на нее негативно влияют. Среди таких проблем можно назвать: несовершенство законодательства в изучаемой отрасли, недофинансирование научных учреждений, которое приводит к отставанию фундаментальных и прикладных исследований от современного мирового уровня, предопределяет низкий уровень технологической и технической базы производства, снижение его объемов, неконкурентоспособность продукции. Предлагаются меры по улучшению состояния рыбохозяйственной отрасли Украины путем совершенствования законодательного и нормативно-правового обеспечения и определения стратегических направлений государственной политики.</description>
