There is a problem of interaction functions in connection with the reform of the criminal procedure law which is very actual for legal theory and practice of criminal procedure investigated. The basic approaches to this problem in the theory of the criminal process and the author’s vision of its resolution set out in this article. The author proves the conclusion that the criminal procedural activities which is conducted on the principle of competition can not be realized without distinction of criminal procedural functions. But at the same time the legislature sometimes allows their duplication in the activities of the participants of criminal proceedings.

Автором в статье исследована актуальная для юридической теории и практики проблема взаимодействия уголовных процессуальных функций в связи с реформой уголовного процессуального законодательства. Рассмотрены основные подходы по данной проблеме в теории уголовного процесса и изложено авторское видение путей ее решения. Автор обосновывает вывод о том, что уголовная процессуальная деятельность, осуществляемая на принципе состязательности, не может быть реализована без разграничение уголовных процессуальных функций, но вместе с тем законодатель иногда допускает их дублирование в деятельности участников уголовного производства.
